 I just want to post about The Royal Wedding of the 21st century, something that I will remember in the future (if technology does not get too confusing for me). I didn't really watch the whole wedding, but saw most of the best part of the public event. I thought it was a fairytale come true for Catherine "Kate" (Elizabeth) Middleton in marrying Prince William. I thought it was sweet, they kissed twice at the balcony, and I wish them the best of luck for the Duke and Dutchess of Cambridge!

You know, I honestly really have to learn the Royal Family Tree and how they have royal titles of some place.


After all the digging on who is designing her wedding gown, Kate's dress was designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen; and Kate did her own make-up!

Celebrating my big sis' birthday- 11 days later. She turned 33 on April 5th. Food was good, big servings and nice service. Had my first taste of lobster! This place is located on City Island, Bronx, near the edge of the island towards the water. It would have been nice to walk by the water, but the weather was gloomy, clouds and heavy rain, and it was still chilly too!

My hubby won two tickets to see The Roots and Nicki Minaj at Best Buy Theater from HOT97(FM radio station). The concert was presented by Casio, they were announcing their new camera "Casio Tryx". Good thing I was off, and my hubby was off the next day.
We thought they were going to let us in at 7pm, but it was more like an hour later, we waited outside the cold Spring evening with the rest of the people who couldn't wait to get in.

When we were about to get in, the security told my husband he can't have his camera inside, because it was "too professional". We got escorted indoors to have our camera checked in. I was so bummed out, my husband was upset and disappointed at the same time. The theater was not that big, you have a choice of standing up close to the stage, or take a seat all the way at the back. After waiting almost two hours outside in the cold, we chose to sit. I used the camera from my cellphone.

 The show ended around 11:30pm, poor hubby he didn't have anything to eat since lunchtime. He had work that day and we rushed to get to the city by train. Hubby took some pictures once he retrieved his camera.

Hubby mentioned how there are still many people walking around the streets, and I commented that's why they call it "the city that never sleeps". New York City is such an amazing place.

Spring is coming?

According to the calendar Spring is coming in two days. I heard on the weather news that we are getting hit by snow next week!

Well, AX is dressing up to welcome the Spring season; she just turned seven months, and also teething--her bottom teeth are budding out!

No, not in Maryland, just at Joe's Crab Shack (South Plainfield). One of my sisters went there a few weeks ago and insisted to check the place out. So, my husband had to drive almost two hours to the shack, I thought we would get lost, but we found our way. Almost the whole family went: my mother, my dh, my dd, my two sisters and my brother in law; my other sister had to go to work.

I kinda regretted what I ordered (The Orleans), it was due to a fact that I was curious what a crawfish is. I should have gotten some crabs myself! The place was packed, but we had our table  right away. The food were great and the place was entertaining, wait staff were pretty nice- they actually danced/performed to this song on this video below, it was pretty catchy, and no this is not the Joe's Crab Shack that we went.

AX just turned six months on February 18, oh, how time flies! One of my sisters who's also one of the godmothers got her a cake. Do you think the cake is too much? It's from Waldbaums by the way.

This AOL account does not exist anymore-do you still remember those AOL Chat days? As I was reading this, it made me smile and laugh, and it made me think like "what the heck?"

Sorry for the non Bisaya readers, I was actually writing a guy friend (family friend) of mine back in the days- almost twelve years ago?! about this guy I met, who was my boyfriend at that time, and is now my husband of ten years!

had my abdominal sonogram...

I did not expect to see the ultrasound machine again this soon. I thought maybe I will see it two years from now, but things happen for a reason. While the technician was scanning or taking pictures of my abdomen, I was thinking why the people at Highway Imaging did not tell me to do my breathing exercises. The lady (technician) keep telling me  to hold my breath for how many times, maybe like 20x or more! I still hear her request in her Russian accent, "hold it hold it" -she was a nice lady though. Should have I known about the procedure knowing I'm an RN? All I remember about holding your breath in nursing school was when doing a liver biopsy. Have to find out the result from my physician in a few days. Shoud I hold my breath until then?

vitamin D level too low? and abnormal liver function?

That is what my NP had told me after I went to get cleared for work almost a month ago. My Vitamin D level is 13 mg/dl, the normal is 30 mg/dl. I was thinking maybe I was cooped up in the house way too long doing child care? But I remembered I had the same problem when I was pregnant; or maybe because I work night shift and I sleep during the day?
So, my NP had prescribed me Vitamin D 50,000 IU once a week, then get my level check after four months. With this deficiency, I have abnormanl liver function also, so she (NP) referred me to have a liver and abdomen sonogram to r/o gallstones. I think this is too much for now, I mean I just returned to work, why haven't I get checked before while I was on childcare leave?

ever since I came back (been two weeks now), I have been receiving more stuff for my baby AX. Thank YOU for the blessings! I also received few pics of my surprise baby shower at work.

I am still trying to adjust my time when I come home from work with AX. My mother has been off from work  for a week, and then my husband is going to be off for two weeks also. So, I haven't adjusted yet because there is someone else taking care of her.

In less than 24 hours, I will be going back to work. Just got myself cleared today at the Human Resources. I know I mentioned I'm going back on January 17th, but I changed my mind. Need to pay my bills on time, and buy stuff for AX that I have been wanting to buy.
I hope everything will be fine on my first day. Wish me luck! 1-11-11.

beauty tutorials

So, a few days ago my sister showed me this girl who does beauty tutorials on YouTube. She mentioned her name to me a few times before and to check out her videos, my youngest sister had seen her videos also and sounded like she's interesting (I have three sisters). Her name is Jarmaine and she's Filipina, my sister had said. I don't know what have gotten to me to watch it with my sister this time. We actually watched about five videos of her. I find her entertaining and amusing, and also she's pretty. This is one of her videos on youtube. Also she does blog JLovesMac1.

My sister had also mentioned to me to watch this girl named Michelle Phan. Her videos are impressive and stimulating, especially the ones where you can dress up in costumes. Check this out...
